“When I left my hometown to go to university I had the opportunity to stay with my grandparents and learn the traditional knowledge of a women’s life and my mind became packed with folk songs and legends. My maternal grandmother chanted Buddhist sutra every evening and my paternal grandmother asked the spirit doctor nearby for healing when children fell sick. I was offered a place to study Chinese Language and Literature at Suzhou University. From then on I started the trip to explore China from a broader perspective of history and geography.“Here is the result - a thoughtful and inspiring insight into the art culture and thinking of the great civilisation that is China.
