Threads

<p><span style=color: rgba(0 0 0 1)>In Sunday's second collection of poems</span><em style=color: rgba(0 0 0 1)>Threads</em><span style=color: rgba(0 0 0 1)> she again picks up the powerful ancient tools of song prayer and poetic transformation in a time in history that feels steeped in loss endings and death to find her way towards life again. Threads has a deep rumbling throughout a rage and grit at its base the kind of rumbling that erupts from the Earth like new life breaking out of winter soil or an earthquake or volcano. </span></p><p><br></p><p><span style=color: rgba(0 0 0 1)>These poems speak to how much life asks of us the determination to lose over and over again yet still carry on. Each poem seems to point to a kind of liberation found in the losing itself. Walking these sometimes nightmarish paths of transformation Sunday leaves us with one of the more bitter yet exalting and sweet truths of life that one must always carry on finding their song that all of our stories matter and we must offer it up again and again no matter what. </span></p>
