Three Plays: Cannibals/Oedipus on 11th Street/God's Will

The first two of Three Plays by Mr. Van Stee dramatize themes from Sophocles (Oedipus) and Aeschylus (Oresteia)that have resonated throughout Western culture for 2500 years. Two modern adaptations of the ideas presented to contemporary audiences illustrate why the original Greek dramas have been in production somewhere in the world every day since they were written. The third play is adapted from the trial in the authors novel Moiras Scythe. It is a tense courtroom drama pitting the wits of a divided southern community in antebellum North Carolina against each other in a struggle with the issue of slavery that threatened to tear apart a young nation. All three plays are riveting dramas that mesmerize audiences but are written so they may be enjoyed equally when read.
