Three Spades and a Joker

<p>Set in 1938 during the Harlem Renaissance <em>Three Spades and A Joker</em> follows three African American men from Harlem as they embark on a road trip to Louisiana in an old Model T. Against the backdrop of the Great Depression and pre-World War II America the story explores the journey of Toby a calm and logical thinker; Marcus a witty piano player and gambler; and Country a hot-tempered street fighter. Their adventure takes them deep into the Jim Crow South where they encounter the harsh realities of racism segregation and the fight for dignity challenging their perceptions of the world and themselves.</p><p></p>
