Sadie Lee Roxana Halls and Sarah Jane Moon are figurative artists whose queer identities inform much of their work. They produce paintings thatdeploy the tropes and techniques of representationalart to striking effect. In an era where artists routinely insist on their subversiveness and the interrogation of sexual and gender norms is amainstream endeavour this group invites aestheticas well as ideological scrutiny. These gay women make bold alluring witty anddeft work which disavows any antagonism betweenpolitics and pleasure.
