He earned his master's and doctorate degrees in religious education in the US. One of his primary goals in life is to improve the educational environment in underdeveloped countries.</p><p>Jung-il is married and he and his wife have four children two with psychiatry doctorates one with a PhD in STEM and one studying at UCSD.</p>
