From having to flee for his life from a gang of Hitler Youths as a boy in Germany through private schools in Switzerland and England and college in Texas <I>Through Life's Lens</I> is as much a coming of age story as the memoir of a photo-journalist who covered not only seven U.S. Presidents but movie stars and rock idols as well as mundane everyday events. In what can properly be described as a series of amazing coincidences the story of Fred Bauman's life makes for some interesting reading.</p><p>How he found a lost love only to lose her again after an almost impossible search from the rooftops of Manhattan apartment buildings in itself can only be described as fascinating.</p>
