Through the Desert

Through the Desert is an adventure novel set in the late 19th century. The story follows the journey of two young children Stasia and Khalid who are kidnapped by rebels in Sudan. Their adventure begins when they are taken from their comfortable lives and thrust into the harsh and dangerous environment of the African desert. The novel details their harrowing experiences as they travel through the desert facing numerous challenges and perils. Throughout their journey the children demonstrate bravery resourcefulness and resilience. They are guided by various figures they encounter along the way including native Africans who help them navigate the treacherous terrain and escape their captors.
