Through The Palms

Start Louisiana is a town where almost nothing happens. And at seventeen years old Bertie Greer is the girl that almost nothing happens to a fact that she is quite comfortable with. The loss of her father has left her broken dealing with a lack of faith and the fear of loss. As a result she is going through the motions of her senior year in high school keeping her only friends Annie and Ted and even her mother at arms length. She spends most of her time alone until tragedy strikes and she is forced out of her shell for the sake of her friends. Against the backdrop of a small town in rural Northeast Louisiana three friends embark on what normally should be the most exciting year of high school. But with their collective issues and the appearance of a mysterious handsome new student their senior year will instead be anything but normal when Annie suddenly disappears and they are forced to learn important and perhaps even dangerous lessons about friendship trust faith and themselves.
