Xanthe Charles was born with a severe congenital heart defect. She is shy and lacks confidence after spending much of her childhood in and out of hospital undergoing life-saving surgeries. A non-identical twin she has grown up in her sisters shadow and in the over-protective care of her strict Catholic parents.
