<p>Unwinding from the heart of a place called Tiempo situated somewhere along the South Texas border a wound throbs. In Tiempo the memories of a city spill into existence. Here we are introduced to the manifold characters caught in the struggle: Luis Ruiz who dreams of reuniting with his mother; Freddy Quintanilla unable to confront his only lifeline to his family in Mexico; Araceli Lucio and her cursed progeny; El Rey and his demands for things to stay as they are. These intersecting lives bound by the absence of control populate the turnstile narrative running through <em>Tiempo Texas</em>.</p>
