By the end of the evening Lisa's father is dead bludgeoned with an axe and an unremorseful killer is behind bars. When the parole process unfolds earlier than expected decades later Lisa realizes she now faces an even greater challenge: the assertion of her rights versus the rights of the man who axed her father to death.
