Tini and Rhogi Yogini and Yogi

<p><span style=color: rgba(83 92 105 1)>Tini a girl with tan skin and multicolored hair is a yogini or yoga master who loves to garden. She's best friends with Rhogi a sauropod with a blond Mohawk who also practices yoga.</span></p><p><br></p><p><span style=color: rgba(83 92 105 1)>Davies describes in rhyme how they practice asanas (poses) and how yoga was once exclusively the province of men. (In one image Tini hides her hair under a hat and wears a fake mustache which may particularly delight young female readers.) But now the author notes everyone-including dinosaurs and prehistoric mammals-can practice yoga.</span></p><p><br></p><p><span style=color: rgba(83 92 105 1)>Mimicking the poses performed by the dinosaurs will be a challenge even for yoga students. However the stanzas clearly explain the poses' names and purposes as well as the concepts of breathing and managing energy.</span></p><p><br></p><p><span style=color: rgba(83 92 105 1)>The text also recommends using yoga and other mindfulness techniques to find a sense of gratitude even during bad times.</span></p><p><br></p><p><span style=color: rgba(83 92 105 1)>The dinosaur illustrations are quite funny and eye-catching. Davies also packs a surprising amount of information into the simple poetry effectively promoting the idea that yoga is indeed for everyone.</span></p><p><br></p><p><span style=color: rgba(83 92 105 1)>Aspiring yoginis will find much to love here as will dinosaur lovers.</span></p>
