<p>The short-story is one of the most important literary subgenres in Urdu literature despite its relative youth. This was influenced by western and literary concepts and tendencies as well as the contemporary industrial and mechanized environment. Ghulam Abbas is an Urdu short story writer whose art covers the colorful issues of human life. He has a deep love for life but he does not expose its nakedness in his stories nor does he intimidates it with his ego. He whispers to life and listen to its whispers as well.
