Sharad is also a senior lecturer in surgery at the University of Auckland and in skin cancer at the University of Queensland Australia. His first novel Cool Cut was published in 2007. He also owns an award-winning independent bookstore/cafe Baci Lounge which put profits into literacy and mentoring programs for disadvantaged children.
