To Save a Lady

<p>I not only wrote this book I lived it. </p><p><br></p><p>In 1967 the purchase of a grand historic home in Uptown New Orleans changed my life. The Lady as I came to call her had been divided into apartments stripped of her original architectural features and was in desperate need of repair. I have spent years learning her history and rebuilding her former glory all the while growing new friendships and building new history. This is the story of The Lady-the people who lived there the detailed work that was done to save her and those who helped along the way.</p><p><br></p><p>I hope showing what I learned and went through will help those trying to restore or improve their home. Though I wish I could say I was finished saving The Lady like a living creature her maintenance and care continues.</p>
