My husband Ralph P. Newman died of transfusion AIDS on May 14 1985. In time this simple statement of fact will become familiar - only the name date and gender will be changed. It is a cruel irony that Ralph's obsessive search of life's purpose culminated in 1980 at the pinnacle of his career - five months before heart surgery and the infusion of AIDS contaminated blood. The question of purpose has been the driving force behind the writing of this book. As you read you will be motivated to seek more information and as a result learn how not what to think about AIDS.
