Too Rich to Die

<p>T. Howard Carleton-Howie to his friends if he had any which he doesn't-is a rich self-made heel. So when a drunken date ends in murder and a car crash he goes underground in Monterey as a cook on a fishing boat. After all escaping the wreckage of his car he looks like a bruised and battered bum. But more than merely escaping a murder rap Carleton now finds himself with a second chance at life.</p><p></p><p>He becomes Tom Howie a Cannery Row fisherman. But he just can't quite hide his arrogance. He soon becomes involved with the beautiful low-class Ginny but is also intrigued by her social-climbing cousin Gail.
