Topical Sevoflurane For Skin Ulcers: A New Option In Palliative Care

This work shows the novel results obtained at the Torrecárdenas Hospital and the University of Almería. It is part of a doctoral thesis carried out at the University of Granada in the Department of Pharmacy. This study shows a new era of treatment in the management of pain and the promotion of epithelization of skin ulcers. This new therapy also offers the opportunity to patients to apply the treatment in their own home with a good previous training without needing to be taken care of in hospitals. For several years that we have been working with this treatment we can say that topical sevoflurane presents a good safety profile for the patient.
