The study guide is a collection of texts for reading of an informative nature with the latest inventions of our and past centuries. After each text comments and translations of difficult words and expressions are presented as well as exercises aimed at checking the understanding of the text practicing vocabulary and grammatical structures and developing oral speech. The manual is addressed to 1st and 2nd year students of the Faculty of Theory and Practice of Translation of the Samarkand State Institute of Foreign Languages as well as students of lyceums a wide range of people who study English on their own.
