Questo libro è il risultato della mia ricerca di master sull'istruzione nell'ambito del concorso Black and Education. Si tratta del primo programma di azione positiva che ha finanziato la ricerca sui neri e l'istruzione dal 1998 al 2007. Promosso dalla cooperazione tra ANPEd e Ação Educativa ha ricevuto il sostegno finanziario della Fondazione Ford. Durante questo periodo sono state organizzate quattro edizioni del concorso ognuna delle quali ha generato una pubblicazione che raccoglieva gli articoli scritti dai ricercatori partecipanti a Negro e Educação. In this work we have a selection of the articles published by the competition on the history of black education resulting from research during the editions of books 1 3 and 4 of the Black and Education Competition since there were no articles on this subject in book 2. This research brings together interviews with academics and researchers involved in the competition and discusses the inclusion of ethnic-racial issues in academia through discourse analysis.
