Traditional Durability Enhancing Preservation of Bamboo in Assam

Traditional bamboo preservation is an age old technique used by rural people to protect bamboo and bamboo product from the deterioration against biodegradable agents like fungus termites borers. The service life of bamboo have not been widely explored especially after traditional treatment in India. My study reveals the effect of traditional treatment on the resistance of Bambusa tulda (Jati in Assamese) towards biodegradable agents and its durability in service.
