About The Book

This book addresses three crucial issues that have crossed all borders in the world to the detriment of the human rights of millions of victims: human trafficking prostitution and the sex trade. This work is aimed at the general public especially law students and human rights defenders interested in the study and development of these social phenomena for the better protection and defence of human rights from the perspective of Mexican legislation doctrine and jurisprudence. It is a book that presents in a simple synthetic and congruent manner with the legislation the essential conceptions of human rights closely linked to the themes of the work as well as their application in legal practice. It contains some reflections on the challenges that the technological advances of the modern era impose on the Mexican State to deal effectively with these crimes not without first calling for a reasoned debate on the possibility of considering the activity of prostitution as a legitimate right to work when it is carried out voluntarily and not forced by multiple circumstances.
