Transgenic food

More and more people are talking about GMOs and the pros and cons of manufacturing them. Transgenics are indeed a great advance in biotechnology and can bring many advantages in terms of productivity and the nutritional value of food. However the risks need to be properly assessed and controlled which requires ongoing research and widespread dissemination of the results. Faced with the impact of new technologies and possibilities society needs time to reflect and assimilate new knowledge and new technologies.
