Transition: A journey from Calculus to Advanced Mathematics

Doing proofs is a painful task for students who just moved from the calculus sequence that is purely computational and enter into the new world of advanced mathematics where the rules of the game are completely different; everything has to be proven. The title of the book “Transition” aims to reflect the process that students are going through evolving from their present stage of mathematical abilities into one that is more advanced and sophisticated. In order to reach this new level of mathematical maturity they have to embark on this voyage of discovery of a complete new mathematical world.
