The purpose of this work Translating Tamil Poetry into Arabic with Special Reference to Thirukkural: Towards Resolving the Deficiency in Translation is to explain to the world in as concise a manner as possible the problems of translating Thirukkural into Arabic. This work may be used in worldwide to know about Tamil-Arabic translation. It is also a contribution to the translation studies.The Tamil classic Poetry Thirukkural is translated into many major languages of the world. In Arabic there are two translations available. This book sheds light on the methodology translation techniques and to resolve the problems in translating Thirukkural into Arabic. Two translations are available in Arabic. Poetry is a universal medium that has inspired mankind almost since words were first invented. And with the use of careful and creative translation methods poetry can now reach across cultural and linguistic borders and be enjoyed by people from all over the world. Translating is not about transporting the content from one language to another but rather about creating a good Thirukkural in Arabic language.The translation should be rendered with aesthetics of Tamil Thirukkural.
