Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Survivors

This book has been created for use by child development/ counsellors and psychologists during administration of trauma focused-cognitive behaviour therapy in management of psychological disorders among sexually abused child survivors. This manual is developed to equip child development specialists and counsellors/ therapists to work with traumatized children. It is especially helpful for both children and youth who have survived sexual abuse. It is accompanied by a checklist that therapists can use to ensure they have covered the necessary content during the sessions. The contents of this manual have been adapted from TF-CBT treatment applications by Cohen Mannarino and Deblinger (2012) who are also the intellectual owners of the TF-CBT treatment. This manual starts with a preview of impact of trauma on children.
