Travels with Mikel

<p><em>Travels with Mikel</em> is a somewhat dark and gross tragi-comedy that will make you laugh and cry -- it is not for the faint-hearted. Two middle-aged friends who both work for an ailing hi-tech company have been playing increasingly elaborate and expensive practical jokes upon each other for decades. The latest and best or worst of these makes family man Chris think it is all getting out of control...</p><p>Most of the action (the small fraction of it that is true - perhaps 10% OK maybe a little more) takes place back in the two thousands when folk weren't as PC phones weren't smart the world was not yet fully digitized and not everything was made in China. People laughed and died and grafted in the same way though.</p><p>Any resemblance of its characters (most of whom -- male and female -- are wildly eccentric cubicle dwellers) to real people living or working as aerospace engineers is purely comical. 80000 words.</p>
