Treatment of Synthetic Dyes by Electrocoagulation and Fenton Oxidation
English

About The Book

The efficacy of Electrocoagulation and Fenton Oxidation for color and COD removal in synthetically prepared dye wastewater (Basic Green-4 Acid Orange-7 and Reactive Black-5 Direct Red-28 Dyes) was evaluated in this research. Electrocoagulation process was carried out in a batch reactor equipped with three varieties of electrodes i.e. Stainless Steel Mild Steel and Aluminum electrodes. Effects of electrode material inter electrode distance initial conductivity of the solution contact time initial pH and initial concentration of dye were investigated and optimum operating range for each parameter was experimentally determined. In Fenton Oxidation process initial pH dose of Ferrous Sulfate and Hydrogen Peroxide for different initial concentrations of dye were evaluated.
