This book is a follow up of the book series on the important plants of the Guinea Savanna region of Nigeria published by Irokanulo U.O in 2015 covering the Guinea Savanna region of Nigeria. Guinea Savanna is rich in plant species of which their economic potentials have not been fully harnessed sustainably. The major aims of these handbooks are to document the useful tree and shrub species of the region and to provide information to subject-matter specialists students institutions and other interested conservationists’ on species that have production and conservation potential in the region.The present book contains more species than the earlier book; both forest and agricultural trees are included. The book gives detailed information on trees taxonomy- classification description ecology distribution and uses. This handbook is published to be used by individuals communities and students interested in plant identification as well as those interested in the growing and management of trees and shrubs in a sustainable way.
