TREES in the life of Buddha

<p>It may come as new information to many that Gotama (Gautam) Buddha is the 25th of the 26 Buddhas and that the last and final Buddha (Maitreya) is yet to come. So steeped are we in the knowledge that the Bodhi tree is the Pipal tree it takes a bit of reconditioning to realise that each Buddha had his own Bodhi tree. Most of this comes to us from the Buddhavamsa Commentary. This book features illustrations of all 26 Buddhas' Bodhi trees all captured in vibrant excellent photographs.
