Trichotillomania or Hair Pulling Disorder is a psychological disorder which often has negative impacts to the sufferers throughout their life. However there are insufficient scientific trials and a lack of research studies on this disorder. This book examines investigates the therapeutic efficacy of treatments for Trichotillomania and finds alternative interventions other than Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and medication which are common treatments for Hair Pulling Disorder. Data has been collected through face-to-face or phone interviews with professional practitioners; and utilizes Hermeneutic interpretation for data analysis in a phenomenological paradigmatic approach to the research..
