Trixie and Me

"A native Vermonter, retiring from IBM located in Essex Jct. Vermontwhere I worked in the Finance and Business Control department. Atthis time my husband, Leon and I sold our home in Williston andbecame snowbirds out of Florida until he passed away in 2006.After 53 years of marriage with our two children successful in theircareers and families. I found it was time to open “Gram’s Story Box”to fulfill a promise I made to her as a young girl. Thus the publishedbook of her story was written, packed with information, pictures,and documents “ The Memoirs of A Vermont Centurion” filledwith whole stories and others just snippets of Gram’s thoughts.As I was writing this story I kept having dreams about this littlegirl and her dog Trixie. I was driven to tell the story of “Trixie and me”. As the story unfoldedI was held in its grasp of anxiety and wonder. The dreams followed me to the end of the bookwhere I too found peace."
