How is it that a particular detail looms or recedes? How can we chart the interplay between the trivial and the essential?</p><p><br></p><p>What is a true place and where is it found? For that matter who is a true place and how is it found? This memoir is a patchwork of stories quotes photographs and drawings interacting loosely and coming together slowly to create a life in search of itself. It is the tale of a drifter tempered by revelatory encounters to become a quilt of many colors.</p><p><br></p><p>To get found I had to get lost. Without the guidance and encouragement of others - I'll call them <em>wizards </em>- I might not have found my way through the labyrinths I encountered. Some wizards are noted in the following stories by highlighting their names in color. You might recognize others.</p>
