Truth and Lies

The whole of her young life has been built upon one enormous lie. When her English mother lies dying in late 1966 part of the truth is revealed and Ellen's whole world is turned upside down. Desperate to unravel the whole truth Ellen embarks upon a personal journey which takes her to Greece and to the small mountain town of Kalavrita scene of a horrific World War II atrocity. What part did her birth mother play in the Greek wartime Resistance movement? Who was her birth father and what was his fate? Gradually truths are revealed but things are not always as they appear. How many more lies will Ellen expose in her search to establish the truth about certain wartime events? And what will be the eventual outcome? The events that took place in Kalavrita on 13th December 1943 are historically well-documented but all characters in 'Truth and Lies' are fictitious.
