<p>The short-story is one of the most important literary subgenres in Urdu literature despite its relative youth. This was influenced by western and literary concepts and tendencies as well as the contemporary industrial and mechanized environment. The literature that can help to provide permanent comfort and peace to the life of a common man breathing in a fragmented society and an oppressive system is undoubtedly 'Literature for Life'. MajnooN Gorakhpuri is the most prominent critic poet translator and short story writer of Urdu. He played an important role in providing ideological foundations to progressive literature at a critic level. The reflection of Yildirim's way of thinking and style of imagination is clearly visible in his romantic short story writing. He created a new luster in Urdu short story by integrating Western ideas in an Eastern atmosphere and environment. He had studied Western literature carefully so he had a special value for Western literature in his heart the effects of which are also visible in his short stories.
