Though his favorite subject was English Literature he chose to study Engineering as that would boost his employment prospects. Neelakantan’s Profession took him first to the city that used to be called Bombay-and is now Mumbai- where he spent 16 years in an Auto Ancillary Company.  Following that he had stints in Himachal Pradesh and Delhi in northern India both related to his job where he spent around 15 years.In 1990 he moved to Chennai as Chief Executive Officer of an Auto Parts Company. Retired in 2001 and ran his own Management Consultancy for eighteen years.In between he moved to Coimbatore in 2011 and now he spends time enjoying his favorite pastimes – listening to classical music and reading..
