<p><span style=background-color: rgba(0 0 0 0)>One year after surviving the car crash that killed his wife former Minneapolis detective Ben Kessler struggles to adjust to his new position as a beat cop in a small Minnesota town. When a disagreement with his sergeant lands him on a punitive assignment in nearby Lake City he runs into not one but two people from his past-Calvin an ex-con he'd put behind bars five years ago and Andrew the man responsible for the death of Ben's wife. He recruits the former to help him catch the latter but it doesn't take long for Ben's demons to interfere and his plan to unravel.</span></p><p></p><p><span style=background-color: rgba(0 0 0 0)>Mistakes are made lines are crossed and before Ben knows it the tables are turned. Now framed and on the run he finds an unlikely ally in Calvin the only person who believes in Ben's innocence. Together they must evade the very police force that Ben used to be a part of while racing to find any shred of evidence that might clear both of their names. If they fail it's not just Ben's career on the line-it's Calvin's newfound freedom and the only piece of himself that Ben has left.</span></p><p></p>
