A true story of partition of the eldest son of a large family who moved across the border with his parents and siblings from West Pakistan to India. ey had escaped the clutches of death and embarked on their journey with empty stomachs leaving behind all their worldly possessions in the old India. An arduous journey full of intrigue and extreme hardship to uptick and re-establish their lives during the carnage of 1947. Fighting all odds of poverty and in the face of numerous adversities this young man overcame all obstacles and rose to the rank of a Brigadier in the Indian Army’s Corps of Engineers.
