A GLIMPSE OF THE BOOK Tynre- Back to my roots is a book (compilation of poem) about Pnar culture beliefs and Language. English Khasi and Pnar have been used to write this book. These poems acknowledge the Mystery of living in language while insisting on finding a fierce unflinching wisdom for leading the way. This book basically showcase the richness of Khasi and Pnar dialects. This book is a tribute to Pnar native people (ancestors) whose history culture and belief system of the Jaiñtia’s tribe have been preserved orally from one generation to another. As the saying goes Ha wa im ka ktien im ka jaitbru. Language is identity.Indeed the mother tongue is a powerful linguistic vehicle.
