UN programs for Afghan refugees in Kazakhstan

Today’s situation throughout the world is exceptionally challenging: Millions of people flee their countries due to war persecution and conflicts. Such vulnerable groups seek better and safer lives. To protect and help refugees the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees was established in 1950 (UNHCR). In Kazakhstan UNHCR has been operating since 1995 (UNHCR). Since that period Kazakhstan has joined the cause to improve the global problem. Without fully examining the causes for seeking a refugee status in Kazakhstan the legal procedure and integration process it is highly complicated to examine the effectiveness of refugee protection in Kazakhstan.
