About The Book

Louisa May Alcott wrote the childrens book Beneath the Lilacs which was first released in 1878. Bab and Betty Moss Miss Celia Ben Brown a circus escape and his dog Sancho are the main characters of the novel. A mystery canine shows up and takes Bab and Bettys beloved cake during their planned tea party with their dolls. The sisters discover Ben Brown a circus runaway hidden in their toy barn. In Celias home a lot of summertime antics take place as Ben gradually settles in with his friends. Ben is suspected of theft Miss Celia is harmed Sancho gets lost Ben rides Lita like a wild horse and Ben is also accused of stealing. Ben triumphs in their archery contest which they hold.
