Understanding My Life Backwards

Trying to make sense of the deaths of two daughters and his wife over a twenty year period the author recounts his spiritual journey from traditional conservative Lutheranism to a secular nature-based understanding of reality. His processing of those events was informed by his careers first as an evolutionary and molecular biologist then as a Lutheran pastor and finally as a college professor.
