Originally published in 1917 this early childrens novel is both expensive and hard to find in its first edition. It follows the adventure of Elizabeth Ann an orphan who leaves a privileged urban lifestyle with her cousin to live with the Putneys on a Vermont farm. It is a fascinating novel of the period and still an interesting read for adults and children today. Many of the earliest books particularly those dating back to the 1900s and before are now extremely scarce and increasingly expensive.
