Au cours de son parcours Tabana croise le destin de Woy sa camarade de classe qui deviendra ultérieurement son épouse. Toutefois leur relation prend un tournant dramatique lorsqu'elle l'accuse à tort d'être le père de l'enfant qu'elle porte.</p><p>Défiant l'harmonie sociale recherchée par leur pays Réveillera Tabana se révèle être un individu irrespectueux et ingrat. Ce comportement conduit à son expulsion par son bienfaiteur qui l'avait hébergé et comblé de toutes ses exigences jusqu'à ce moment. Confronté à l'échec de ses études aux soucis qui l'accablent et à son incapacité à réussir à l'université Tabana regagne son village natal. C'est à ce moment que Woy lui fait une confession déchirante : il n'est pas le père de son enfant ce qui entraîne leur séparation.
