Unipolar Mania in a South African Population with Bipolar Disorder

The story of unipolar mania remains largely untold despite research suggesting it is not as uncommon as previously thought. Due to the absence of identifying criteria in current diagnostic systems in use e.g. DSM and ICD the area receives little attention in terms of research. This book aims to increase awareness about this seldom discussed topic with a view to inspiring other researchers to consider unipolar mania as a topic for investigation.
