Unknown Enemy

<p>An alien ship lands on present day earth and offers advanced technology in return for earth's alliance in a 400-year-old war against an aggressive alien species. Within a few decades earth develops into an interstellar civilisation and sends its first interstellar ship the Nelson on its first combat mission.
