Upon the Stars

<p><span style=color: rgba(34 34 34 1)>Upon the Stars is a book consisting of poems a musical composition</span></p><p><span style=color: rgba(34 34 34 1)>and short stories both fiction and non-fiction created by a mother-daughter</span></p><p><span style=color: rgba(34 34 34 1)>team. Dr. Linda Mata includes poems she has written along with two ancestral</span></p><p><span style=color: rgba(34 34 34 1)>biographies and the epic of Sundiata Keita of Old Mali.</span></p><p><span style=color: rgba(34 34 34 1)>Her daughter Christiana Guarino has included poems she has written</span></p><p><span style=color: rgba(34 34 34 1)>with some dating back to early childhood. She has also written a story in tribute</span></p><p><span style=color: rgba(34 34 34 1)>to her late grandmother along with three other short stories.</span></p><p><span style=color: rgba(34 34 34 1)>As in their first book entitled Roads and Reminiscences they have</span></p><p><span style=color: rgba(34 34 34 1)>expressed views of nature and everyday life and revealed contrasts between</span></p><p><span style=color: rgba(34 34 34 1)>views of mother and daughter. This book exemplifies a positive parent/daughter</span></p><p><span style=color: rgba(34 34 34 1)>relationship and promotes creativity on the part of young people as well as</span></p><p><span style=color: rgba(34 34 34 1)>adults. </span></p>
