A work submitted in partial fullfillment of the award of MPT degree in Cardiopulmonary sciences to Manipal academy of higher education Karnataka India. The study was conducted in COPD subjects. Group A recieved upper limb training group B recieved lower limb training and group C recieved combined training. The outcome variables used in the study was unsupported upper limb training endurance test 6 minute walk test and chronic respiratory questionnaire. The study concludes that upper limb training lower limb training and combined training resulted in significant improvement in exercise performance and health related quality of life. The present study also concludes that addition of upper limb training to lower limb training will not cause change in exercise performance and quality of life.
