Urban disorder at the Abobo scrapyard Abidjan Ivory Coast

The municipality of Abobo is going through a multiform crisis. It is reflected among other things in accelerated and disproportionate urban growth a lack of space a reduction in modern jobs and consequently a strengthening of informal activities all in a context of weakening of the State and the administration. The present study entitled: Urban disorder in the scrapyard of Abobo is part of the development policies of the country. Indeed the tools of urban planning and development play a very important role in the mutations and socio-spatial organizations. Moreover in a country undergoing reconstruction such as Côte d''Ivoire the absence of a master urban plan would be a brake on any urban development process and would determine the success or failure of the accompanying measures. This document is the result of the study of the lack of organization in the scrapyard. It reveals the foundations of the disorder that reigns in this sector describes its manifestations and evaluates its impact on the urban environment while proposing alternatives for the improvement of the living environment.
